Alphamstone Art Walk

The Art Walk weekend was really successful despite the heat, the attendance was good and visitors enjoyed walking around the ten artists in their studios, viewing not only their art but the techniques and media used. Every artist reported a lot of interaction about their work and a lot of people walked away with a piece of art to have at home or as a gift. The potters wheels were going and a few of the children had a go and loved it.
The Village Hall was busy as the air conditioning was on and cool cream teas sold well. The sale of cakes, maps and raffle tickets raised over £500 for the hall and Sue Faull very kindly donated her takings bringing the total to £864.
We hope that the weekend has maybe inspired some people to sit down and start creating. The feedback was very good and this might be an event we look at running again in a couple of years.
